Building an industrial 3D printer

In 2019, I landed a contract with a Motorcycle Accessory Supplier to build a large 3D printer, measuring 600 x 600 x 600mm. I took on the project solo, completing it in just one month. I handled everything, from buying the needed electronics and frames to programming the motherboard. I aimed to give the printer extra features like Auto Bed Leveling, Runout Filament Detection, Wi-Fi connectivity, and Flow Calibration.

At the project's conclusion, the impact was significant. Thanks to the new 3D printer, the company saw a remarkable 30% increase in revenue. This project not only showcased my technical skills but also demonstrated my ability to deliver results that positively impact businesses.

3D Modeling Honda Vision's Front Mask

In 2020, I received a project to create a hybrid front mask design for a Honda motorcycle, combining elements from both the Vision and SH models. The first step involved scanning the original Vision front mask and then meticulously refining the STL file to ensure a flawless fit and finish. Subsequently, I drew inspiration from the Piaggio Medley S 150 to craft an innovative front pattern that seamlessly melded with the Vision's original design. The entire project was completed within a tight timeframe of just two weeks. The end result proved to be highly impactful, contributing a significant 5% enhancement in value for the Motorcycle Accessory Supplier. This project underscored my ability to blend creativity and precision in design, ultimately delivering tangible benefits to the client.

In 2021, my colleagues and I at Meme 3D company embarked on an awe-inspiring project: crafting a colossal T-Rex Skeleton model spanning an impressive 3 meters in length. This ambitious endeavor stretched over two intense months, demanding unwavering concentration, meticulous analysis, and seamless collaboration among the team. Our approach involved utilizing a diverse array of 3D printers, including the Ender 3 V2, Creality CR-10 Smart, Qidi X Max, and Qidi X Plus, to fabricate each intricate part of the model. Once the printing phase was completed, we skillfully soldered all the components together and executed precision polishing to achieve a flawless final result. The impact was undeniable – our efforts significantly boosted the rate of customer buying decisions, leading to a remarkable 10% increase in the company's revenue. This project showcased our team's ingenuity and dedication while delivering tangible benefits to our organization.

3D Modelling Robot for Warman Competition 2022

This was a project at my university, part of the Mechanical Design Fundamental course at UTS. Our team was selected to represent UTS in a robot design competition against other universities. This project spanned six months, and we put in a tremendous effort to try and outperform the other teams.

We dedicated ourselves to this project, often working more than 10 hours a day, seven days a week, and practicing for two weeks straight. However, despite our hard work, we didn't win any prizes at the competition. Nevertheless, the experience was incredibly valuable. We gained expertise in programming, learned how to organize code effectively, developed state machine skills for system management, and improved our design and presentation abilities.

While we didn't come home with awards, we came away with a wealth of knowledge and skills that will benefit us in future endeavors.
